Principal's Message Box

Happy Dussehra

Dear Anthonians,

On the occasion of Dussehra, I would like to share a story- A story about a man who was teaching his son about life. "A battle is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, jealousy, greed, bitterness, lies, pride and ego. The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, gentleness, truth, compassion, and faith. This same battle is going on inside you - and inside every other person too."

The son thought about it for a moment and then asked his father, "Which wolf will win?" The father replied, "The one you feed." This truly means that there is always a battle between good and bad, and this battle is not about two individuals rather it signifies that when an individual losses his/her mental balance of pure thoughts and non-violence, is unable to differentiate between the good and evil thoughts, deeds and actions. Some are stronger and forbid their bad to overshadow their good, while others tend to fall more to selfish pleasure-thus acting out with bad behaviour. My dear students, all of us have some good and evil and it should be our goal to kill the evil within us.

Dear students,

My message to you all on this occasion of Dussehra is try to treat others as you would want them to treat you. Work hard and be committed to what you do. Always stand for truth and not for wrong, for it is rightly said, "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything."

On this special day, as you celebrate valor & courage, triumph of good over evil, wish you success & happiness in everything you do. So let us all celebrate the Victory of good over evil and Success of truth over lies.

Wish you all a Very Happy Dussehra!
